Character Profiles

Mrs Alice Baroda

In her late thirties, though can sometimes seem older; maybe she grew up too fast? She is a housewife and lives with her husband and dogs in Hertfordshire. Alice is fairly chatty and outgoing; but yet reserved at the same time. She may have a ‘split persona’ as she likes to entertain others; but maybe a lot quieter at home with Mr Baroda. Alice is well spoken and polite to all, but in a sense has been ‘stuck in a rut’ and feels she has to live up to the image of being a ‘respectable woman’.

Pam Jones will be playing the part of Mrs. Baroda. Pam has acted shakespeare, in musicals, pantomimes and comedies over the years and has a soft, caring voice perfect for the role.

Mr Gaston Baroda
Gaston is very slim, neat, wealthy and respectable man, who works for Midland Bank ltd. He is well spoken; with a gentle tone, and always well dressed in suits and a true gentleman. He adores his wife Alice, who he is a few years older than, and would do anything to make his wife happy. He can appear to be a little naive at times to what his wife would really like from life. This can be reflected when his college friend visits, and he is unaware of the desires his wife Alice has.

Jay Andrews will be palying the part of Gaston. Jay has been performing drama since the age of 4 and although he is still young, has an extremely mature voice for his age and therefore can play the role of Gaston Baroda very well.

Gouvernail
Gouvernail is a college friend of Gaston’s, who is now a journalist. Gouvernail seems to be the complete opposite of Gaston in image and personality; although they were friends when they were younger with aspirations and goals; they aren’t as close as they once hoped they would be. He is not a ‘society man’ and keeps himself to himself most of the time; only tending to speak when spoken too and can sometimes appear to be blunt. Gouvernail is courteous and polite; but seems to be in his own little world; and does not care much to be as sociable and ‘out there’ as others. He smokes cigars; whilst chilling by himself where he likes to think in depth about things, and analyse what is around him.

Phil Byrom will play the role of Gourvernail. Phil is an experienced actor and has had various differnt roles in student films. He has a deep, riveting voice which fits the despcription of Gourvernail’s perfectly.
